I don’t know if anyone has mentioned it, but this may be a fishing expedition by the Obama afectionados. The bait is he is not a legitimate candidate. They could let the the conservatives run with this and then set the hook suddenly by providing the original birth certificate. This proof of the right being wrong would make a terrific slogan in some way to obviate any and all rumors.

A better tactic on our part would be to wonder, “why Obama and his supporters don’t put this rumor to rest...” Tacitly assuming his claims but questioning why he cannot easily and quickly answer evidence to the contrary would be a better tactic in IMHO.

There are doubts in my mind about this entire episode. I have followed it from the beginning. I have mostly refrained from posting because of the possibility of lots of fraud in all the wrong places.

The very fact that Obama hasn’t put this to rest causes some suspicion among Freepers that there might be something funny about his original birth certificate.

I do think we could just as easily be suspicious of the motives of the Kos gang and BHO’s rumor-stopping website... perhaps trying to set up a “sting” operation.

In light of what I posted above from the Texasdarlin website, I suspect that the whole BC fuss caught the Obama camp off-guard. Once their own "FightTheSmears" webmaster picked up the faked BC from DailyKos (seems too stupid a thing to do, but apparently that's what they did), then they froze and have not been able to decide what to do next. However, at this point they are playing wait-and-see, allowing right-bloggers and posters to speculate and go wild. The Obamanators now are actually hoping it moves up the media food chain enough that they can suddenly produce the real BC, attack and humiliate anyone who bought into believing that "Obama is ineligible" etc., and use the whole episode to try to discredit all questions about his background in advance.

A very good speculation. We now know, after the fact, that the Michelle "whitey" claim seems to have been of that nature. Bob Beckel, the liberal Dem smearmonger, brings it up, and so does smoe Hillary supporter (No Quarter blog), and then within a week the Obamaniacs are blaming Rush and conservative talkers for the 'smear' that conservatives were discounting and disputing!

I am here to say that this will add up to a big heap of nothing. Maybe I'm worng but facts have not been in dispute: Obama was born in Hawaii in 1961 and that makes him a natural born citizen. No U.S. birth certificate lists religion. And his full name, Barack Hussein Obama II, is already 'out there'. His Mom wasnt married? BFD, he's alreqady acting like he was raised by a single-Mom (not true though). The only worse scandal would be if he was named Barack Nixon Obama, after Richard Nixon.
