LOL I started back with Madelyn and Stanley when I began researching. Knowing that they essentially raised Jr from the age of 10 I decided I had better learn more about them. That’s when I discovered the deception Madelyn practiced with her own family when she secretly married Stanley May 4/5th of 1940 and kept the news from the family until after she graduated in June/40 I also learned Madelyn was hired at Bankoh because she was the only one who had escrow experience. Hearing that it was like a light went on in my head with regard to the birth announcement address. When I learned that she gave the one 30 minute tightly controlled interview with David Mendell and INSISTED Ann and Sr had been married that struck me as more than odd and raised questions. Would Madelyn be willing to “protect her daughter’s honor and lend a legitimacy to circumstances” register a birth which generated a birth announcement. At that time girls who became pregnant were sent away so Madelyn would definitely do all she could to protect her daughter. Even Stanley Armour was so affected by what happened that in the 1970’s he commented to a co-worker that he had lived “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner”. At this point the phrase which keeps running through my mind is “It’s a fine mess you’ve gotten us into Stanley”.
As far as the photo of Stanley Armour holding the infant Ann, that particular photo is on this thread somewhere in the 6,000 number posts. RubyR found and posted it so check her postings and you should be able to locate it.
:-) I tell you what. It is just like what happened in the Duke LAX case. I know more about the skanky, Crystal Mangum and her family than I ever wanted to know. I probably know more about her family history than she knows.
But we helped get the job done. We shall do the same here.
