Eleanor Berkebile

Private family services will be scheduled in Wichita, Kan., for Eleanor Belle Berkebile, of Castle Rock, who died Dec. 21 at the Castle Rock Care Center. She was 71.

Born June 28, 1932, in Wichita, she was the daughter of Ralph Waldo and Martha Mae (Stonehouse) Dunham. She retired from civil service as an executive secretary.

Mrs. Berkebile enjoyed jewelry, plants and smoking. She moved here six months ago from Washington state.

She is survived by her children Teresea M. Berkebile of Castle Rock, Ralph D. Berkebile and his wife, Jacque, of California and Lorrie A. Berkebile of Alaska; sister Virginia Goeldner and her husband, Cecil of Arkansas; a half-brother, Ralph Dunham; and two grandchildren, Aaron and Maureen.

Olinger Andrews Caldwell Gibson Funeral Home of Castle Rock made arrangements.

Thanks for that, first indications I had of Eleanor was in the article which was an interview with Virginia. The article mentioned that Eleanor died in 2002 was a resident of Germany. The only thing I notice is the discrepancy of birth dates for both Eleanor and Virginia at the bottom of your post. Eleanor was born in 1932 and Viriginia was born in 1935. I wonder how long Eleanor lived in WA state and where she worked? It is interesting that she was in WA state before moving back to KS.
