Unfortunately the subscriptions I have don't have much from the Chicago papers of the 30s, 40s, 50s. I did find a little more Peck info - From the Sheboygan Press February 26, 1934 article on the death of Gerald W. Peck in Texas:

_________________

Gerald Peck attended the old 18th ward school and East Side High School here. His family moved to Chicago when he was about 20 years old. With his brother, David, he became an official of public utilities companies.

Peck's home was at Libertyville, Ill. He is survived by his widow, Margaret, and three children , Helen, 10; Gerald, Jr, 4, and Peter, 2. His father lives at Lake Forest, Ill. with a daughter, Mrs. Albert Pattou.

The "official of public utilities companies" intrigued me b/c of the Thomas Ayers/ConEd connection but I haven't been able to put it together.

I have been getting around the need for subscriptions by googling in different ways. I was distracted from doing real research tonight with a nose problem but will see what I can find in the next little while.
