Sorry ‘bout that.
These women leaders are responding appropriately and swiftly to sexism and misogyny, in a way that my partys leaders failed to do when Hillary Clinton was subjected to the same type of assault for months on end, much of it from members and opponents in her own party. And we (the Democrats) are supposedly the party of progressives, feminists, and enlightenend men. I hope Pelosi, Brazile, and company are watching, in shame. Because in case theyve yet to figure it out, THIS is why 30% of Hillary Democrats will be voting for McCain-Palin. Oh yes, we will.
h/t to Count Us Out for the videos.
Believe it or not, it’s an interesting conversation...(snipped, go to the website to read the lot.)

Some excerpts from the conversation:
...Matt Welch: So tell us what we should know about Barack Obama that we dont?
Wayne Allyn Root: I think the most dangerous thing you should know about Barack Obama is that I dont know a single person at Columbia that knows him, and they all know me. I dont have a classmate who ever knew Barack Obama at Columbia. Ever!
Welch: Yeah, but you were like selling, you know, Amway in college or something, werent you?
Root: Is that what you think of me! And the best damned Amway salesman ever!
Welch: No, Im sure that you were an outgoing young man, Im just guessing.
Root: I am! Thats my point. Where was Obama? He wasnt an outgoing young man, no one ever heard of him.
Tim Cavanaugh: Maybe he was a late bloomer.
Root: Maybe. Or maybe he was involved in some sort of black radical politics.
Welch: Ooooooooooh.
Root: Maybe he was too busy smoking pot in his dorm room to ever show up for class. I dont know what he was doing!
Welch: Wait, you werent smoking pot in your dorm room?
Root: No, I wasnt. I wasnt. But I dont hold that against anybody, but I wasnt . Nobody recalls him. Im not exaggerating, Im not kidding.
Welch: Were you the exact same class?
Root: Class of 83 political science, pre-law Columbia University. You dont get more exact than that. Never met him in my life, dont know anyone who ever met him. At the class reunion, our 20th reunion five years ago, 20th reunion, who was asked to be the speaker of the class? Me. No one ever heard of Barack! Who was he, and five years ago, nobody even knew who he was.
Other guy: Did he even show up to the reunion?
Root: I dont know! I didnt know him. I dont think anybody knew him. But I know that the guy who writes the class notes, whos kind of the, as we say in New York, the macha who knows everybody, has yet to find a person, a human who ever met him. Is that not strange? Its very strange...

Election ‘08: Does Barack Obama owe his meteoric rise to an Israeli-hating adviser to a Saudi billionaire? Why did a race-baiting mentor to the Black Panthers favor this yet unknown community organizer?

excerpt:
...Although many Americans have never heard of Khalid Abdullah Tariq al-Mansour (his full name), he is well known within the black community as a lawyer, an orthodox Muslim, a black nationalist, an author, an international deal-maker, an educator, and an outspoken enemy of Israel.
A graduate of Howard University with a law degree from the University of California, al-Mansour sits on numerous corporate boards, including the Saudi African Bank and Chicago-based LaGray Chemical Co. LaGray, which was formed to do business in Africa, counts former Nigerian President General Abdusalam Abubakar on its advisory board.
He also sits on the board of the non-profit African Leadership Academy, along with top McCain for President adviser Carly Fiorina, and organized a tribute to the President of Ghana at the Clinton White House in 1995, along with pop star Michael Jackson.
But his writings and books are packed with anti-American rhetoric reminiscent of the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Obamas disgraced former pastor.
In a 1995 book, The Lost Books of Africa Rediscovered, he alleged that the United States was plotting genocide against black Americans.
The first genocide against the black man began 300 years ago, he told an audience in Harlem at a book-signing, while a second genocide was on the way to remove 15 million Black people, considered disposable, of no relevance, value or benefit to the American society.
In the 1960s, when he founded the African American Association in the San Francisco Bay area, he was known as Donald Warden.
According to the Social Activism Project at the University of California at Berkley, Warden, a.k.a. Khalid al-Mansour, was the mentor of Black Panther Party founder Huey Newton and his cohort, Bobby Seale....

...Apparently, al-Mansour serves on the Board of, among others, Saudi African Bank and was responsible for the Africa investment activities of Kingdom Holdings, Saudi Prince Al-Waleed bin Talals investment company.
Two other details argue for this al-Mansours involvement in Obamas academic and literary careers. He has been a guest lecturer at Harvard University and has authored 24 books.
In short, al-Mansour fits the profile of the political godfather. When I was speculating whose purposeful intervention had steered Obamas career through its rough spots, I could not have imagined a more likely candidate...
