Other certificates generally have a two week period between the date of birth and the date filed or accepted so why is there such a short time frame for the man of no history?

I noticed that also, and yes, it's an exceptionally short time frame. I've seen certificates where the recording date was a month or more after the birth, but in general, two weeks is about average, while four days is quite an anomaly.

And yes, the Seattle Times reported that Stanley Ann registered for the spring term at UW as a "single mother," living in a apartment on Capitol Hill. Assuming the spring term began in late March, Obama would have been seven months old. So Stanley Ann was in Seattle when Obama was "a few weeks old," according to her friend Susan Blake on a video report, and she was there when he was seven months old, according to the Seattle Times reporter.  It would be reasonable to speculate that she never left Seattle until Obama, Sr. had graduated in '62 and left for Harvard. That would also agree with a  Time magazine report that Obama, Sr. left "when Obama was almost one" (and not when he was 2 years old, as  frequently reported elsewhere).

It's also not too far-fetched to theorize that Obama was also born in the Seattle area, and the birth somehow registered in Hawaii. I found two institutions mentioned on a Kings County discussion board adoption topic at Ancestry: Florence Crittenton Home for unwed mothers in Dunlap and Waldo Sanitarium in Seattle's Maple Leaf neighborhood. Both are closed now, and none of the researchers posting to the board has been able to find any of their records, which, if they still exist, are probably sealed.  And there were other private or church-sponsored institutions, such as the Home of the Good Shepherd (Seattle) which sheltered unwed mothers, either voluntarily or through court referrals. Sure, most of these girls were expected to surrender the baby for adoption, but not all did.

Where I don't agree is in the speculation that, if there's some falsehood in his birth record, Obama was necessarily born outside the US. I think people have jumped to that conclusion way too prematurely, based on the hope that he be legally disqualified as a POTUS candidate.  OTOH, if he wasn't born in Hawaii, it could be devastating, from a PR standpoint, to have the biography that he's built a career on exposed as a house of cards, especially since so many so-called journalists have written so many swooning stories of the messianic incarnation based on nothing more than the supposed "facts" he set down in his books.

Realistically, though, I get the feeling that Obama and his people have recovered all the ground and spoken to all the parties involved in his personal history, and that his glorious story will not be disproved to any legitimate degree.

I definitely agree that some major cleaning has been going on using over-size barrels of Mr. Clean! Searching through various links and reading various stories and blogs sometimes resulted in dead ends but then there are Hilliary supporters who are protesting about the actions lately. An example of this was posted at the noquarter blog and follows:(cleaned up,but with misspellings and grammar errors left intact)

ok steevieboy….you are so smart why don’t you tell us all about Obama???????
why does he lie??????
why did he put forward a fake birth certificate?
why are all his state senatorial records missing?????
I can tell you this little smart a**..I was a delegate for my state of Florida in 2004 ..and i never heard of an Obama until on the convention floor placards werw being handed out to the delegates to hold up with the name “obama” on them.
The joke among my delegation was..what is an Obama??????
He was the first speaker to have his placard handed out to all delegations..usually the speakers own state only gets the placards..but this one was different..Obama’s signs were given to all delegations and we could not figure out for the life of us ..why???
Furthermore dearest troll..the most expensive party at the 2004 dem convention was “Obama’s party”…i kept asking for several years..why? and who put up the bucks$$$$$$$$..this guy was nit even a US Senator yet..and most people i know ( i have lived in 9 states) running for Senate the first time don’t have a pot to pi** in ..let alone put on the most expensive party at the convention.
Now if you don’t care to know who is running to sit in the most powerful office in the world..then get the f*** out of here..no one needs you’re smart a**ed comments..there are serious people here that take the responibility bestowed on us by our forefathers..very seriously…’WE THE PEOPLE”..
NOW MOVE ALONG..YOUR KIND OF BULLS*** IS NOT WANTED HERE..GO BACK TO orange CHEETOS LAND.

There are simply too many inconsistencies in the fairy tale Obama has told which makes reasonably minded people question and try to ferret out the truth, albeit rather late. Talk about a Manchurian candidate and then begin to pray for G-d t help America!
