Another thought: When obama was required to sign the declaration that he knew of no impediment that would prevent him from standing for the office of POTUS, he could have done so even WITH his father's 'race' as African-Arab or Arab-African. Race is no impediment.

But on June 6, 2007 when that certificate was issued, after the carefully construced mythos of African-American heritage, in a post 9/11 world, his father's pride in his 'elite' arab heritage would have destroyed obama.
