well...a Freeper went to the trouble of checking out the Polk Directory entry - so maybe you could telephone the publishers and ask them?

The directory entry is supposedly for 1961/62. When would they start collating the information for the year? Maybe in January?

Ann Dunham Book “Surviving Against the Odds” Published After Death

A book written by President Obama’s mother is set to be published in November by Duke University Press, the school announced Monday. “Surviving against the Odds: Village Industry in Indonesia,” Dr. Stanley Ann Dunham’s 1992 anthropology dissertation for the University of Hawaii, is the product of 14 years of research on the metalworking industry in a Javanese village.

Dunham died in 1995. Her book, edited by Alice G. Dewey, Dunham’s graduate adviser, and Nancy I. Cooper, a fellow graduate student, will be available in November.

Dunham’s daughter and President Obama’s half sister, Maya Soetoro-Ng, who wrote the book’s foreword, said in a statement she was “delighted that our mother’s book is being published, and I am grateful to Duke University for making this dream of hers come true. My hope is that this book will be read by those who come to love the particularities of its world and who also see the myriad potential application of its ideas and methods to other worlds.”

She lived at 1512 Spreckels Street Apt 402 Honolulu, did she? In 1979 and 1980. That’s interesting.

I don't think this says she lived there in 79/80, rather that's when the taxes were due from. Here's some research on supposed addresses for Ann Dunham. Investigative Report This report has her at least living there from 1987 through 1992. Or maybe it was only a mailing address.

The listed address of 1512 Spreckels St. is three blocks from her mom and dad's address (Barry's grandparents) with the Kapioloni Medical Center for Women and Children between them. Check out the map, here.

I have no idea if she actually lived there, just an FYI. If that notice for tax lien is real, she owed taxes from 79 and 80. It appears the assessment was made in October, 1985....so that would be her address (Spreckels St.) in 1985.

Again, IF the tax lien notice was real, the amounts look fairly large. $13,320 due for one year back in 1980 seems like a large amount. Maybe this was before she was divorced.

And another reference to the tax lien against Obama's mother on this FR thread, IRS Filed Tax Lien Against Obama's Mother from October, 2008. According to the poster, he had found the record and ordered a copy. The filing number alleged in that thread and the one shown in this picture, that mojitojoe posted, are the same.
