Need to prove to liberal family that there are liberals out there in government make statements like this

I read an article here a week or so about some conressman or official that govenment should govern business because government can do it better and the profits should be distripbuted equally to all competition. I believe he said Carter had tried this and we should consider doing this again.

I'm in a huge debate with my liberal family and I cannot find this article I am not the most technical person.

Can anyone remember this? I saw it here about a week or two ago.
