Definitely support drilling and nuclear, but politically there’s no need to alienate anyone by being scathingly opposed to “alternative” energy like solar and wind. The people who are truly wrong are those who oppose drilling, but there is nothing inherently evil about wind power, so in my view there’s no need to crap on it as a political message.

Not a chance when the GOP standard bearer is on the wrong side of both.
Besides, the GOP is too spineless to stand up for conservative principles, which is why they're in the deep trouble they're in now.

As long as the GOP standard-bearer, A.K.A. John McCain, the presumptive GOP Presidential nominee is on the side of the Democrats on these two issues the GOP will get absolutely no traction on thes issue.
