They aren't rioting or protesting. They aren't being beaten or shot. They aren't in prisons being tortured for possessing pictures of revered elders. They have full citizenship in the United States and their own lands that no one else can own or control. Many tribes are becoming rich with oil, logging, gambling casinos and other business ventures and they get tax free status and hire who they want. No outsiders live on their reservations or do business there without their permission.

Are all American Indians happy with the arrangements they have with our government? No. But all of the above is true and none of it is true for Tibetans.

Were the Chinese starting a new nation settling in a wilderness with 19th century technology when they invaded Tibet? Did the Chinese have no other land to be on? No, the "civilized" Chinese had been there for 5,000 years of continuous culture not 100 like Americans. After 5,000 years of continuous culture the Chinese are still more barbaric than 19th century fur trappers and gold seekers in a wilderness land with no law.
