Wrong. No matter what happens now the entire Democrat Party is on the ropes. This is historical. We might be watching the self-destruction of an entire party. And all thanx to Operation Chaos.
It’s certainly fun to watch the Democrats prolong this primary season. But there is no way that anyone other than Obama is going to be the nominee. Hillary can bide her time and work behind the scenes, but the party would be suicidal and risk catastrophe (read: riots) if they finagle the nomination away from the first black man ever to be in this position.
But, I'd feel much, much better if Hillary!'s candidacy was dead and buried. Obama is a lightweight who doesn't stand much of a chance in a presidential race (as we're starting to see). If Hillary! can steal one election (the Dem nomination), why can't she steal two?
You have it right! The longer the Dim party stays fractured, the harder it is to reunify what is left over. It is becoming harder to fathom a Clinton-Obama or Obama-Clinton ticket. Many of Barry's supporters have said they will "sit this one out" and not vote at all if Hillary is the nominee. Many of the remainder will swing to McCain. This is to McCain's benefit on both counts.
Those in the Dim party who have been asking Hillary to step down, and if she becomes the candidate, there will be "hell to pay" with the vindictive Klintoon ROCO Machine. Heaven help them if Hillary actually becomes POTUS - but that's not gonna happen.
While both Dim candidates weaken each other, McCain is getting a good head of steam up.
