Anyway, those who design the curriculum of public schools are blissfully unaware of the fact that pure darwinism is as passe as marxism.

"Darwinism" is a pejoritive created by ID'ers. People do not call themselves Darwinists. Darwin was a pioneer more than 100 years ago. Of course he is passe. He was also right as far as he went. We now have the ability to study DNA directly. It demonstrates that Darwin and Spencer and good ol' Strata Smith were right. Life does evolve.

This movie is built upon the dubious and incorrect premise that the truth of Science is opposition to God...

I saw the movie today, and did not leave with that impression. The movie is built upon the dubious fact that the Scientific World is controlled by people that do not accept and will not consider the possibility that ID occurred. The movie demonstrates the intolerance of those in the scientific community that even consider ID as a possibility, even if their scientific work is not affected by whatever personal beliefs they hold. I left the movie with an understanding of how intolerant and vindictive those that control the money in the scientific community are.

Metaphorically, the movie is this: Someone presented a theory that the Chicken came first. Those that even consider the possibility of the egg coming first are ostracized, fired, demeaned and attacked by those ascribing to the paradigmatized theory. Basically, those ascribing to the paradigm display as much tolerance as todays run of the mill liberal.

From all the shut ups and name calling on this topic, I can see that this is not limited to the arena of science. Before anyone attacks me, I have not indicated my personal opinion on this matter, so do not attack me for what you 'think' my ID position is.

Patently absurd!

The term 'Darwinism' was used "........in Darwin's day .........". On the same referenced page, Ernst Haekel (d 1919 and Alfred Russel Wallace (d 1913) used the term 'Darwinism'.

"Intelligent Design" originated in 1987 (around one hundred years later.

Pre-emtively, I am speculating whether you will dispute the referenced Wiki source, invent some more bombast, or perhaps simply tell me to 'shut up"?

Remember, there are lots of BS detectors on FR!

People do not call themselves Darwinists.

Niles Eldredge does. Do you know who he is?
