admsmith is probably short for adam smith, perhaps adamsmith was already taken. He is just pinging people to the thread because he thought it was worthwhile.
Thanks. Seems I didn't fully understand what a 'ping' meant. I thought it was something like 'ditto' or 'I agree'. (I'm still kinda new here) :)
