More of the “why can't we all just get along crowd”.
Apparently he has not read much history, politics in today's environment is often less hostile than it has been in the past. It is just the way it is.
Furthermore do not want to “get along” with a crowd that:
1. Wants to take 70% of my income in the name of fairness
2. Intentionally denigrates/destroys a President in a time of war for their own short term political gains
3. Is not interested in supporting/protecting our borders and culture
4. Believes that America is the root of evil in the world.
So yes, we have issues, big issues that need addressing, like run away government spending, Medicare/SS bankruptcy, failing education systems, tort reform, an inefficient medical delivery system and others. It is not a failure of issue identification that is the problem, it is that the solutions proposed by the left DO NOT WORK.
IMHO, trying to find common ground with the left is a waste of time.
