I usually just google my question and dig around a while.

Oops! I honestly didn’t mean to say dig!

I haven’t found an awesome gardening forum yet.

FR is unparalleled as far as forums go. As a result, I tend to judge other forums rather harshly.

Trying something different this year - planted 3 "container compatible" tomato plants in largish pots on Feb. 10....all 3 varieties have small fruit formed.

We'll just have to wait another couple of months to see what happens.

May I be the first to say — YIPPEE!!!

The Sun is shining in my window here, reminding me that it’s time I got my big ass off this chair and went on some non-gay frolicking. Uh, oops, forgot to put on pants.

Oh well, too late now!!!

HOWEVER - at 1:26 Eastern this afternoon Spring officially begins.

That is just over 15 minutes away!

If you are into natural solutions to gardening, see this website. I've almost gotten totally away from harsh chemicals for gardening an lawn care.

So far this is the only gardening forum I look forward to, although I do cruise the net some. Where else can you get ideas from gardening, and politics at almost the same time, maybe we should call it the political potato, I know thats pretty corney, could’nt help myself. LOL!

Here is my catalog addition to the thread. http://www.territorialseed.com/ This was my go to seed guys when I had a large veggie garden here in Eureka and at our place on the Klamath River near Weitchpec Ca where the day temps get to 110 and cool to 50/60 at night.

http://www.dahlias.com/ This is where we got most of our 50 dahlias when we attended their open house many years ago. As most of you must know snails and slugs are death on the new growth and putting out slug bait after every rain was a bust for me. Then I discovered crushed oyster shells at the big feed store and bought a 50# bag and sprinkle a heavy coating around the tubers and no more damage...
