O/T: My doctor told me yesterday that there was a drug for diabetes that worked so well that many diabetics were actually healed of the disease; they were no longer diabetic! No more insulin shots! No longer risking the loss of an extremity over a paper cut!
37 people out of 1.5 million who took it developed a serious side effect, however, and died. So it was pulled off of the market within months of having been released. Just 37 out of 1,500,000. I'm not a cost/benefit expert, but I'd say the chances of being killed in a car wreck are probably greater. Too bad for the people that were cured. Back on the needle for them.
