My husband and I have been having this argument. Personally I believe McCain will be skewered by the MSM within the next month. He’ll be portrayed as the old white guy, weak on immigration, weak on taxes, they’ll trot out the Keating Scandel and before it’s over he’ll blow his temper and give them more fun. They’ll even show his temper through events like when he told Senator Cornyn from TX to “F*** O**” over immigration.

If the nominee is Hillary, sexism will be involved. If the nominee is Obama, it’ll be race cards that get played. The MSM has chosen the President. Election over.

It seems we have a winner. That would be a bull's-eye Ptaz.

.The good old boy Washington insider Republicans had a hand in it too. They gave us Dole in '96 and now McCain in 2008. They may even prefer being in the minority, going to all the best parties and being "loved." Dummies.

True the press will savage McCain but he is strong in a few ways.

If Hillary is the dems pick then McCane stacks up fairly well.
Hillary is a low turnout 45% candidate. The old ladies like McCain and many will flip to his side.

Elderly people vote and they don’t vote for the radical they vote for the soothing person.

The Mexican vote will help McCain in AZ,NV,TX,NM and others. This was McCains main reason for the whole immigration idea.

We need to look at the 10% of the voters that flip from Dem to GOP in the last few weeks before a election. These people do not look at things like we do.

Many, many people in the squishy middle might go for McCain as a “safe” vote. It’s too bad that the MSM will be painting McCain as a unstable fire ball waiting to explode.

He will get Borked.

Obama will bring in the 30 year old voter in large numbers and there is no way we could win with some old dude like McCain.

McCain now looks like he is our nominee. It should only be a few hours until the MSM turns on him.

What do you think they will start with? I guess they call him a lier first, then stupid, his collage grades which were low.

I think MSM will wait until McCain has the nomination sewed up before they attack. If what they bring out about McCain is bad enough, the Republicans might be able to select another candidate at the convention and they wouldn’t want that to happen.
