Cats can see color, just not as well as we do.
Tradeoff with being able to see in the dark better than we do.
Trouble is, cats don’t care about what color something is, their concern is whether or not what they see tastes good, will feed them, or will serve their whims.

Tell that to my white cat. EVERY time I wear black he acts like I've been gone for a month and can't get enough of me. LOL...I work in a very professional environment and have frequently gone to meetings when suddenly this long, white cat hair float up into the air. Fortunately most everyone seem to be animal people.
