When I get too cold, I go crawl between flannel sheets and turn my electric mattress pad up to 4. After about an hour, I can get up without shivering!

It’s always hard to see a parent go through things like Alzheimer’s. Although they may not realize they’ve lost part of who they are, we do, and that sense of loss is often very great, even though our parents are still with us.

I have a friend whose mother has Alzheimer’s, and I think the mother doesn’t realize her memory is going. My friend cares for her, but she (friend) gets VERY tired of the constant stress.

I’ll keep you and your parents in my prayers. {{{TC}}}

Thanks! Mom said she’s looking into getting a home health aide, at least when she’s going to be gone overnight. I hope she will; she deserves to get away sometimes!

We also found out today that a highway bypass may be coming right by us! Probably won’t be usable until 2020, but try selling your house once the route is approved!

I lost my father-in-law to Alzheimer's (pneumonia did him in), and my sister's husband, younger than me, is pretty far gone now. It's horrible. Prayers, T-C!
