Thompson, Hunter, and Tancredo are the most consistent on their positions/conservative street cred ...

Tancredo is out ... Hunter will probably soon be out ... Thompson is the last hope for Reagan conservatism.

The rest are RINOs at their core. Based on their past, McCain is more conservative than Romney. That should tell you alot.

"McCain is more conservative than Romney."

That's what the MSM says but not what the research shows. He is unrepentent about McCain-Finegold CFR, McCain-Kennedy Illegal Alien Amnesty, Votes for Gun Control, Higher taxes, Affirmative Action and against drilling in ANWAR, positions against Gitmo, Waterboadng and for recognizing Anthropogenic Global Warming and more.

Certainly a case against Romney's conservative credentials can be made based upon his past actions, too. On the otherhand he is repentent about much of it.

In addition Romney was trying to appeal to very liberal constituency when he held those positions. It's possible he is more accurately viewed as a panderer than a liberal. McCain served a very conservative constituency and has no excuse in that regard. He is just a liberal.

Your comment is one I just have to include in the, "say what???" segment of my notebook. LOL I know that Romney has shown some flip-floppin' tendencies, but I also know that McCain has stood strong on some issues that are totally against what a Republican/Conservative believes in. On tax cuts alone, McCain is still as clueless as ever.
