North American Union 'a couple years away'

WASHINGTON – The next giant step toward world government will be integration of the U.S., Canada and Mexico in European Union-style merger in the next few years, says the author of a best-selling book on the power of shadowy international organizations promoting the move.

"I would say [it's just] a couple of years away," reports Daniel Estulin, author of "The True Story of the Bilderberg Group."

Estulin, a Canadian now living in Europe, says the original plans for a North American Union involved the U.S. and Canada as the prime participants. It was motivated primarily by the desire to harvest Canada's abundant natural resources.

In his new book, Estulin reveals the first efforts in this plan date back to 1996 when the elite Bilderberg Group first discussed plans for the dismantlement of Canada as an independent nation and proposed its merger – minus Quebec – with the United States into a Greater North America.

"Actually, the North American Union, or rather a Canada-U.S. merger, was initially discussed shortly after the Reagan-Bush candidacy won the White House," he says in an interview with WND. "Upon taking over the reins of the country, George Bush and Ronald Reagan called in the presidents of the key trans-national companies and asked them for the real picture. The money people told them that if the United States were a corporation it would have to be shut down immediately. It was bankrupt."

The solution proposed then, according to Estulin, was merger between the U.S. and Canada.

"Canada is virgin country with a multitude of natural resources, water, mines, oil, gas, etc.," he explains. "They decided that it was going to take 14 or 15 years to put the whole project together.

Wake up, fool. HILLARY is a REAL THREAT.

40% of the electorate will vote for her right now.

She gets in, and the Republic is gone for good. Capitalism, gone. Personal health decisions, out. Private prop rights, gone. 2nd Amend, gone.

Truther nutters yammering on about bilderbergers distracts from the serious issue at hand.

Saving the USA from permanent socialism. You’ve got to convince these 40% that scoialism is bad for them before you can convince them that world govt is bad.

After Hillary, we’ll be glad to have the NAU ameliorate our own disaster.

And your comments are why no-one takes seriously the actual growing threat of a loss of sovereignty: because rational, concerned people get lumped together with crackpots, lunatics, alarmists, and scare-gamma-out-of-her-savings con men.

Loss of sovereignty is a threat. The NAU being a couple years away is a laugher.

"...if it’s going to happen at all, it’s going to be in the form of an economic free trade zone...."

The merging my country with Mexico elicits a visceral yucky feeling in me. I would take up arms to prevent it. But a merging with Canada? Not so much.

Their culture and values mostly mirror ours, and they are small in numbers.

We could take them, easy.

It's not like they are mostly bums and criminals living in a corrupt, racist system, like some other border countries I can think of.

I want to join the Bilderberg Group. I wonder what I would need to do to join?

I tried to. I left the $5,000 in gold by the pine tree, and kept trying to see the fnords in the NYT Financial Section, but was never contacted.

I think it's a ripoff.

For all of you who think this won’t happen....well think again. Jesus Christ told that the world would be led by a one world ruler in the latter days of time . Think I am flaky then go and read for your self The Holy Bible Revelation 13:16 then think about the chip they want to put on you. First it will be a card then look out the chip comes. Laugh all you want time will tell God will not be mocked! You didn’t think it could happen to the Trade Towers either, but it did! I am road tests wife.

By the way I once went to a really good restaurant that was a Bilderberger.
You told them what you wanted on your ground chuck burger, and they would build a berger the way you wanted it.
I choose guacamole, bacon, and chedder. It was delicious. I enjoyed my Bilderberger that day

At a certain point it can be hard to distinguish between a free trade zone and a fully merged country. I love reading articles debunking the NAU (which is easy to do since there is no grand dark reptilian alien conspiracy) that are written by WSJ types. Because when you read closely you realize that even while debunking the conspiracy claim they voice approval of virtually every aspect of the “NAU” expect perhaps a political union.

Their culture and values mostly mirror ours, and they are small in numbers.

You'll find that some of them are not real thrilled with the prospect.

The flaw in your argument is that our dollar is crashing. The peso is on the rise and the canadian dollar is the same value. Iran just abandoned our dollar for petroleum sales as of Feb 11th. We will be bombing them shortly.

The North American Union will be possible with either Clinton or McCain.

You either have a very slow life or you are the king of procrastination. You went back to November 20 of last year to argue a point I made about the NAU!!??

Given the socialist political leanings of all 3 candidates, the NAU COULD be a possibility. However, I am more convinced that a more pressing event will consume whichever socialist gets elected - namely the further splintering of the Republic of the United States of America. A splintering that, IMO, will bring us to Civil War - The Sequel. The elements are all in place, we just have to wait for the November results.

It isn’t about dollars or pesos; it’s about usurping the will of the people.
