I think they are really stupid to strike. I know that many industries in the United States strike, but the TV show writers are especially stupid. The ratings are going down almost every year and I believe if this strike goes on for 22 weeks like it did in 1988, it is going to spell the end of TV as we know it. I know that soap operas will go to repeats next week and they are in most trouble according to reports. TV shows that just began are in trouble because people will lose interest and older shows might even lose viewers because they will go on to other arenas. The only one’s who will continue to make money are the movies regardless of the poor mouth that they claim every year. If you can spend 20 million on three actors in a movie, they are not hurting. Just my opinion.

That's inaccurate. Soaps are taped weeks in advance. New episodes will be airing until around January.
