Nah, I’m not going to hit abuse, you’re providing too much humor even though I’ve been up most of the night with this (I’m in Asia right now).

The lot is only 5 minutes from his house. He probably turned it on soon after leaving his neighborhood.

Let’s break it down to steps.
1. He leaves his house
2. Gets in his car
3. Probably calls friend to let her know he’s on his way
4. Hangs up phone (please don’t start a discussion on whether it was hands free or not)
5. He’s almost to the lot
6. Turns on recorder (I believe he stated in an earlier threat that he turns it on when ever he goes driving.)
7. Is nearing the lot
8. Signals his turn
9. Goes in

You know the rest. Had he turned on the camera any later the disgraced offer could then claim probable cause (as he tried). However we got to see the turn signals.

He would probably have turned it on earlier, but most likely was distracted. If you want a better answer try asking Brett himself, he seems like a real stand-up guy.

Maybe the next time I’m out in the St. Louis area he’ll let me buy him a beer (he should be 21 by then, just so you don’t get your panties in a bunch)

Or, he's driving around, listening to his scanner, and he hears that a cop is in a parking lot five minutes from his house (worst case, car is impounded, he can walk home).

He circle the block, sees the cop, mutters "Here we go" and starts recording.
