Unlike you, I said I would expect a cop to react if I acted like a smart a$$. Sure, this cop overreacted but the kid wasn't hurt or arrested on trumped up charges. His ego got bruised.

Ah, but there's the distinction. I only expect bad cops to react if someone acted like a smart a$$; you evidently expect all cops to react. A case of projection, I suspect. Just because you're unable to restrain yourself, don't assume everyone else lacks that ability.

Sure I do. Perhaps they'll react with a dirty look. Perhaps they write a ticket instead of a warning. Perhaps they'll overreact. I have no idea who I'm dealing with. Which is why I'm so polite.
