The firing was clearly called for. The cop’s prior record has come out, its not the first time the bubba has crossed the line. No city can allow that kind of loose cannon on their police force. He should never wear a badge again.

Regardless, he was a cop. Cops rarely get punished for their misdeeds. This is an exceptionally uncommon example of a cop being fired.

I'd bet that if he shot the kid instead he'd get off.
