Compared to the others, the National Smoking Ban in public is child’s play. He’s for protecting the family structure and voters rights against activist courts, something Thompson and Rudy are against and the other two can turn on a dime. We may disagree on some things (though the national smoking ban in public places has too sides to it and doesn’t go against conservative principals or threaten democracy - as do activist courts) but he’s one candidate who doesn’t come across as willing to sell his grandmother to get the nomination, is an articulate and sincere conservative and understands and connects with voters who realize the issues facing the public today. A smoking ban in public places will be supported by all candidates if it becomes popular and unlike the others, it would be his only big government stand.
He also raised taxes in Arkansas while guv. No thanks. bloomberg with a theology degree.
It's bad enough that special-interest groups under the guise of working "for the children" are enacting local and state smoking bans. After smoking bans, it'll be national bans on trans-fats, sugar, sweets, porn...you get the drift. Huckabee will alienate a lot of libertarian and swing voters.
