Something’s got to be done to stop activist courts from usurping the power of the inhabitants of these states. Hamilton would have had these judges removed and given them free one way trips to Canada. Letting what happened in MA and IA happen isn’t Federalism, it’s looking the other way at Hedonism and furthers economic socialism (a reason socialists promote immorality). Judicial rule by fiat usurps republican democracy, both the Federalist (which I prefer, as the way Hamilton supported it was very limited and just enough to avert chaos) and the Republican/Democratic (Jeffersonian) versions of it.
It's refreshing to see a reference to federalism for it is rapidly becoming an extinct reference in politics these day's.
Every time FDT is asked a question, he dodges it by saying it is up to the states. I’ve never heard him answer a direct question in a direct manner yet. Sorry, he might be a heck of a fellow, but he’s not presidential material.
