Scum like Feinstein and Schumer look at it and see that nothing bad happened to the politicians (bad being defined as losing power) because of the ban, so they're encouraged to go forward. And frankly I don't see anyone doing a Heydrich on tyrants like Waxman, schemer, etc. no matter what gun control they pass. The will and spirit of '76 has been lost and replace by the Katrina spirit of "when's someone gonna do somehting for us."
