The others have been out there for many months now, building their bases. If Fred Thompson wants to be CIC then he had better show that he can COMMAND, way out in front on the issues as a LEADER, not just another also-ran nag left in the dust.
Gee, looks like he's doing a helluva lot better than declared candidate Ron Paul--his COMMAND of the interest without even having declared shows him to be a LEADER, not someone who follows the crowd. What does this babble about "way out in front on the issues as a LEADER" mean, anyway?
I guess Ronald Reagan, who hadn't declared at this point in his campaign, wasn't showing he could COMMAND, either?
