Jimmy Carter, America's worst President of the 20th century, is proving once again that he is the worst ex-President of all time. The sanctimonious nincompoop has outdone himself with an egregious new book whose incendiary title likens Israel to racist South Africa. The book -- replete with lies, distortions, and factual errors -- parrots the propaganda line of his late bosom buddy, terrorist leader Yasser Arafat, to the letter.

Voters threw Carter out of office in the 1980 presidential election after four years of disastrous economic bumbling and foreign policy debacles. Since that deflating experience, some of the world's most murderous tyrants have learned that they can readily enlist Carter's allegiance by flattering his insatiable ego and catering to his obsessive need to feel important.

His new book, Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid, is yet another attempt to ingratiate himself with bloodthirsty enemies of Western civilization -- this time by bashing Israel with fabricated blood libels.

Carter's anti-Israeli screed has so entranced the Hollywood Left that an award-winning director, Jonathan Demme, has a film crew following the fatuous politician around on his book tour for an adoring documentary to be called "He Comes in Peace." Demme, who won an Oscar for "Silence of the Lambs," can be counted on to treat Carter with the same fawning admiration he bestowed upon the fictional persona of Hannibal Lecter.

Demme is oblivious to the fact that Carter's book is a discredited piece of garbage -- a compendium of outright lies, moral equivalence, and misinformation that has already been thoroughly refuted by highly regarded historians and Middle East experts....
