I do not have pre-911 thinking, Kimberly.

Why wasn't our border secured on 9/12?

Perhaps because Intel proved that the murders of 911 came directly from the mid-east.

Do you suggest that we ban all imports next? These imports come from all over the world; who but could know, that evil stuff from the mid-east might just be carried over on a shipment imported to the US from "name a country".

The standard approach by border bots is essentially to overreach on the "illegals are criminals" by likening all illegals to the terrorists of 911.

You bet illegals are behaving criminally by sneaking into the US. But whereever has been rhetoric from border bots slamming Democrats for the laws which made this "allowable under law" by the Democrats during the 90s.

I've never seen this comprehension education ever alluded to by border bots.

One of my favorite lines from the flick "Poltergeist": "You moved the headstones but not the GRAVES".

Those bashing President Bush for his comprehensive immigration reform, put me very much in mind of that great Poltergeist line.

And it's profitted you the regime of Pelosi, Murtha, Reid, Schumer, Kennedy, Hillary.

Ya moved the gravestones right into their playing field.

Thank you for voting Republican, as you say you have.

Closing the borders, halting imports would not have prevented 911. The corruption of what led to 911 is in those graves which the WOT has been digging up.

If we surrender on the border issue, we surrender totally. The demographics in the U.S. have changed substantially in the last few decades (thanks mostly to ZPG, and a tax structure and life-style that discourage large families for some groups while subsidizing growth in other groups). If we allow 12 million foreigners, in one swipe, into our country (and I,parochially, consider it to be OUR country), are we not surrendering?

There are many who wouold like to see the caucasian race (mongrels that they are) disappear from the planet. We seem to be hell-bent on aiding them in whatever way we can.

So, rather than effectively securing our borders and ports from terrorists, the answer is to 'keep our fingers crossed' and accept the risk for the sake of the economy?

The OBL agenda leaves our country open to both illegal aliens and terrorists. One in the same if a terrorist succeeds in crossing & attacking, at which point, will distinguishing the difference matter?

Profitted me? No, it's made defeating the OBL more difficult than if we had retained majority and is the reason I voted straight R. But your comparison is inaccurate in that, a gravestone inscribed "comprehensive immigration reform" would read the same no matter where it was moved and implying that had we retained majority under Bush, as opposed to loosing it under Bush, would magically change the original inscription, is wrong....the OBL agenda is a bipartisan agenda.

So, yes, the Dims will take the ball and run with it, but it's still the same game. Unfortunately Bush is quarterbacking for the wrong team.

"Closing the borders, halting imports would not have prevented 911."

Correct. But this is post 9/11. And my point is, when a dirty bomb goes off in your own backyard because a terrorist has successful WALKED ACROSS THE UNSECURED BORDER, that excuse won't hold water. Will you then still be in pre-9/11 thinking and have no regrets about having failed to secure them? Is the OBL agenda your priority too?

Don't be stupid. No one is advocating that. We need to secure the borders between legal crossings.

How would that effect trade?

It wouldn't and you know damn well it wouldn't.
