Madsen: Israel Using WMD's In Lebanon-Photoshopped!
Madsen Report ^
Posted on 07/20/2006 3:43:12 PM PDT by tcrlaf
July 20, 2006 -- WMR reported that the Israeli military was using poison gas on villages in south Lebanon. According to a former U.S. weapons expert who served in Iraq, the artillery shell in a photo taken in Lebanon (below) is a chemical weapon delivery device.
It is being handled by an Israeli Defense Force soldier and Hebrew lettering can be clearly seen on the armored vehicle. Another chemical weapons shell of the same type can be seen lying on the ground to the right.
It is not known what type of chemical is in the chemical canister, however, gas dropped by the Israelis in villages in southern Lebanon has resulted in severe vomiting among the civilian population.
Media commentators have scoffed that Israel, with its relatively unique history, would ever use chemical weapons or poison gas in any war. It is precisely because of that perception that they are using such weapons. The deniability factor prevents the media from taking seriously the credible reports of banned weapons being used by the Israelis.

He doesn't even have a grip on the incredibly large device with his right hand. He's merely applying a little pressure to it with his wrist.
Spinach, I'm figuring.

They must breed them special for that job. His left hand is about 3 times larger than his right and his left arm is at least 10 inches longer than his right arm.

You've got Madsen pegged. He's a mental case, but the kooks at other websites treat his every word as gospel.

Under high mag the artifacting around soldier's left hand certainly seems out of place IMO. The absence of ground shadow for the projectile seems odd but that is more difficult to tell.

Look at it closely - the topmost fin in the picture is semi-transparent!

It would be good then if we can expose yet another liberal lie for exactly what it is...
I'm no expert on this stuff, and relatively new to all of this, so any help at all would be appreciated!
How do we spread the word about these sorts of absolute BS?

Okay, let me play. The whole article seems odd but...the soldier appears to me to be behind a tank. The "round" is not a tank round. I don't know what size round the IDF tank uses, but I'd guess it's 120mm, like ours. I've never heard of any army using tanks to spread any type of chemical weapon or irritant (CS, for example). But I'm convinced that image wouldn't fit in a tank tube. Then the question becomes is it a projectile? I don't think so. That doesn't look like a 155mm round either in diameter, and ...no 155 in the world that I know of has a follow on tail fin like that. The blast of the propellant would likely rip it off. Just my thoughts. But hey, what would I know.

I did stumble across a tank-fired CS round while reseaching this earlier, but looks NOTHING like this...

Well, a "former U.S. weapons expert who served in Iraq" doesn't really provide much credibility about the actual type of shell in the picture.
Notice how no one has on face masks?
I wouldn't get uptight. For all we know, it's the idiot who got Dan Rather in trouble.

Wayne Madsen is prohibited as an unreliable source by Democratic Underground.
We're talking too left wing wacko for the left wing wackos here, guys.

The photograph has definitely been processed in Photoshop. JPEG photos processed in Photoshop have a header which includes the following words in plaintext:
JFIF
Ducky
Adobe
If you open this photograph in a plain text editor, you can see those words right near the top of the file.
See this article which includes the following snippet:
Here's a curiosity: In the header of images created with Adobe Photoshop you will find three tags: JFIF, Ducky and Adobe. It appears that Ducky is the smoking gun that indicates that Photoshop was used to create the image, but we can't find any explanation or history regarding the use of Ducky. Let us know if you know what's behind this oddity.

Very sound reasoning IMO. That thing is most certainly larger than 155mm and even looks larger than 8" which is the largest arty projectile the US uses (I believe).
