Rather than attack their motives, why not address their arguments?

Because it is detrimental to his goals?

Turn it back on those who say OBL opponents are disruptors, trolls, want to see Speaker Pelosi, etc.

"Why are you so interested in having a flood of Democrat voters come into the USA?" (Because that IS what is about to happen, no doubt about it). "You must WANT to see the GOP destroyed forever."

Get 'em off their self-righteous high horse.

Thanks for that clarification. I will adjust my view of the Border Patrol accordingly.

>>I believe many of the single issue conservatives are basically luddites longing for days past. <<

So you think that immigration just covers "one issue"?

Translation from the union: "We want higher salaries."

Jim Kouri, CPP is currently fifth vice-president of the National Association of Chiefs of Police

So you think this guy is union, eh???

Just follow the money; republicans (and to some extent democrats as well) are addicted to the cheap labor that these people bring. Never mind that it lowers wages for ALL American workers, and the country be damned!
I never thought I would see the day that republicans sell us out just as blatantly as the treasonous democrats, but it appears that that day is here.
Having said all that, however, I will NEVER vote for a third-party candidate, much less a democrat. That's how we got der schlickmeister. Therefore, the republicans know they have us just where they want us. Where can we go?

I met Chavez. My father-in-law marched with him in Salinas and he spent the night in my brother-in-law's house. I couldn't follow much of the conversation since most was in spanish. Reagan is also dead.

Exactly what does my question about why unions are quiet about illegal immigration qualifies me for your characterization of me as a "luddite"?

He was up front with his policy back in 2000 and 2004. I remember the debates well.

During the debates there was not a single word devoted to the immigration issue, from either side...There was nothing to debate...Bush, Gore's and Kerry's views were identical...

We knew Bush's view an amnesty but we never thought he wold 'buck' the wishes of the Conservative Republic, on this or any other issue...

We were wrong...

"Oh pleaseee

You just got a tax cut for crying out loud, two conservative judges on SCOTUS and many other conservative issues have gone your way"

Good deal......so now he gives away the frickin' country, and we are supposed to overlook it..........Going to be hard to argue a case before the Supreme Court if we have to speak Spanish to do it!

The farm workers union has been a non factor for decades.

In fact, private sector unions in general have been a non factor for at least one decade.

A luddite was a follower of ludd who started a movement for workers to destroy the steam engines that were putting them out of a job.

Common usage of the word luddite is someone out of touch with the present day circumstances.

Someone who thinks chavez or the farm workers union is relevant today, is in my opinion someone who is out of touch with present day reality.

I believe many of the single issue conservatives are basically luddites longing for days past.

There aren't any single issue voters on this side of the issue...We pick the issues off as they show up on the radar...

I figure you're the single issue voter, e.g. 'I vote yes for everyting White House'...

They have no intention of securing the border. Remember, Bush is for a one-world government. A one-world government requires open borders so anybody can come here if they want. And our government is already fat and sassy, so they have no worries about money...

I liked the border patrol, right until I learned that they are unionized.

I really can't believe you said that, tell me what group of government employees that are not union.

Could you provide a link to the 2000 election or prior to the election where he said he was for amnesty or a guest worker program?

Employers that hire illegals are subverting current U.S. law..
Thats what RICO was invented for.. combating organized labor criminals..
If hiring illegals is not criminal organized labor then Congress is complicit..

Could be, you never hear about the Mafia anymore.. Maybe they ran for office.. federal office.. Socialism is exactly the mafias "Protection Scam" gone political.. i.e We will "protect you" with you're money, from ourselves..

Some enterprising Lawyer could make a name for him/herself SUEING some large company on RICO grounds.. Hmmmm.. its doable.. or maybe the Oval Office also as complicit..
