I especially liked the "cool as a cucumber" comment. They are trying to figure out why Rove isn't sweating bricks and quivering.

Geez, the DUmmies are actually buying that 24 'business hours' excuse. This is becoming too funny.

I've been posting on DU, and reading the DUmmie FUnnies for a looooooong time, now. I thought I had seen the very bottom of the pit of self-deception they could practice. This thread proves me wrong. There
is no bottom. Congratualtions, PJ, on a true masterpiece. And to all the posters who have added their own observations of DUmmie insanity, thank you.
I now know how to approach DU on my fourth major trolling expedition. This time, I will be one of them until I come out. Loony, just loony. No more reason (it doesn't go down well over there). Wish me luck.

12:00 EST. Only 20 Business hours to go. :-)

Fiscal or calender years?
To: PJ-Comix
The Sunday talking heads would never let a story like this simmer all weekend, only to wait another week before they "talk" about it. Makes no sense. "I thought I issued instructions for all radios on this base to be impounded."

19. That's what I think happened too....
After this f*ckup, who's gonna give the left-leaning blogs any credibility? (Besides the bloggers themselves, of course).
Let's face it, Rove's people Dan Rathered us.

I just got off the phone with Jason Leopold Updated at 1:42 PM
who clarified something for me that is pretty damned important. In his article, he said:
"During the course of that meeting, Fitzgerald served attorneys for former Deputy White House Chief of Staff Karl Rove with an indictment charging the embattled White House official with perjury and lying to investigators related to his role in the CIA leak case, and instructed one of the attorneys to tell Rove that he has 24 hours to get his affairs in order, high level sources with direct knowledge of the meeting said Saturday morning."
In point of fact, those 24 hours are "business hours," i.e. starting on Monday.
"Jeez, Jason," I said, "we might want to put that into the essay. Half the planet thought 24 hours was 24 hours. They thought the deal would go down today."
To be fair, a dozen eyes looked at that article yesterday before we published it, mine included, and none of us caught that. The word "business" has been inserted into the story after "hours" where it belongs:
LOL. What a maroon! What a nincompoop!

"Fitzcal years."
What's that, something like one fitzcal year= 4 calender years?
Sheesh, this could take forever.
To: PJ-Comix
I am a bit leary of Jason. I will believe it when I see it. Jason Leopold is the new Jayson Blair.
