One thing that is bothering about this particular confirmation is all the talk about the filibuster that there has been. If I recall, "our" position has been that filibuster is anathema to the judge confirmation process. With the dems attempt at "filibustering" failing my sense is that conservatives have been lulled into unwittingly giving more legitimacy to the concept of filibustering a judicial nominee.
Does anyone else see it this way or am I off in conspiracy land---again. (Shucks, I swore I was going to stop the paranoia).
