Alito could be sworn in as early as noon Tuesday, in time for a formal introduction to the nation by President Bush during his State of the Union address Tuesday night.
Any reason why he couldn't just have him sworn in right before the speech and then take his seat with whichever Justices choose to attend?
Now that would really chap a few A$$s, wouldn't it. :)
