Thank You, Sir!
Hi Leni! Is this the same newbie from a week or so ago who was posting these same articles on another website? It was in some series format, with the next issue already posted somewhere else? My apologies if this isn't the same.
Thank You. And please invite your friends to follow your example.
I do know I find it strange that I'm not getting the courtesy of an answer to my questions from Hopeful Patriot, although evidently he/she's still on this thread at the moment.
Leni
I think you're right.
Dont ask.
I'll see if I can find the thread I'm thinking of.
Lol! BINGO.
There you were - #54. I thought I remembered you being there. Sometimes my memory surprises me.
I already tried pledging my fortune...didn't work.
Good one!
The "we" is the same "we" that is in the preamble:
We the people..
Some of "us" have indentities that go back to the "flame wars" on FreeRepublic. We believe the mission of FreeRepublic is important and that the identity of individual Freepers contributes nothing to the merits of the ideas that are going to be expressed in this series of articles. We believe the ideas will stand on their own merits and should be judged accordingly. The authorship or the identity of the posters adds nothing to the validity of the concepts, but sometimes personalities or old wounds can detract.
Re-reading it, I noticed with some amusement how adroitely newbie Hopeful Patriot avoided ALL direct questions as to who he is, who are the "we" he represents, and since he appears to be so familiar with FR, what was his former screen name?
Sounds like we have a mystery person, perhaps some political professional, who wants to use this forum for something or other.....what it is, I don't know, except to sign pledges or whatever.
If others want to exhaust themselves by participating in this eye-numbing Conservative 101 posts of word-torrents, fine with me. I feel the writer's stubborn secrecy and sidestepping has already compromised his motives, no matter how fine.
