And do you think there is any wisdom in attempting to pursuade the pro-constitution third-parties to abandon their isolation and join the Republican Party, bringing their planks and members with them?
Our Founders had to compromise with each other to get our Charter ratified. I think the circumstances and urgency of the times would require a similar strategy. I doubt very much that there are sufficient years ahead for any third party to stand at the helm in time to keep Plan B contained.
To plan A.
"Now we can get back to my earlier concern about finding other and concurrent ways to fund the program.
We do not believe that throwing money at problems is a very efficient solution and only rarely an effective solution. Shotguns are great weapons for close order combat, but of not much use when you need a rifled approach or long range artillery. We believe that we know where to focus voters and how to focus them. If we are correct, there will be no need for funding raising; money flows automatically to centers of gravity. And we believe that we have found "a", if not "the", Constitutionally conservative center of gravity.
"And do you think there is any wisdom in attempting to persuade the pro-constitution third-parties to abandon their isolation and join the Republican Party, bringing their planks and members with them?"
We consider this to be essential and are going to discuss it in more detail in discussions that follow some of our future articles. In successful worthwhile endeavors, the whole is always greater than the sum of the parts.
"Our Founders had to compromise with each other to get our Charter ratified. I think the circumstances and urgency of the times would require a similar strategy."
I have seen it written countless times that politics is the art of compromise. Perhaps, but some of the political compromises of the past, including the compromises made by the Founders have led to enormous future tragedies. Speaking for only myself and in no way speaking for our group, I don't mind compromising when I am not sure what is right. Compromising what you know to be right is the path to corruption. If good intentions pave the road to Hell, compromising what you know to be right is creating an expressway. When people hold wrong ideas, the arguments have to be found that can persuade them of the truth. Those unable or unwilling to see the truth, should be defeated. Compromising and corrupting the truth because of fools or the corrupt doesn't strike me as good art, it looks a lot like failure or corruption to me. Compromise is fine when you are not sure what is right, but I doubt that anybody profits when they compromise principles for the sake of agreement. Anything worth doing is worth doing right. They get to be adages because they stand the test of time and you pay a price when you don't listen to them.

As to pinging others...I don't have a ping list, so to speak, though I can access lots of names to ping. There are a very few, select group of people that I even flag to a thread any more. I'm very much sitting on the sidelines these days.
If it isn't too much trouble though could you please ping me to the appropriate threads as they come up, I'd very much like to read what the concepts are.
You obviously have been here before. Your former screen name is?
Thank you for taking the pledge. We have added your name to our ping list. Sorry that it took so long for me to get back to you, but we had some family matters that needed attention in preparation for Thanksgiving.
Will chew on this all tomorrow.. and if the pledge has something to do with Mel Gibson.. I am in (can tell how deep I am?)
seriously, thanks and I will read all.
I responded to one of your other Posts, but I see no reason I cannot respond to this one as well. I once (like many here) took an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies foreign and domestic.
It has always bothered me why my brothers in arms and I have never declared war on Congress, the Senate or the Judiciary.
Well, now I guess there's a means by which to declare war here.
Because this is War.
Words of wisdom by some of the greatest thinkers ever known, thanks for posting them.
Thank you both.
I like it.. It has a ring of sincerity.. and the scent black powder to it.. But it overlooks divine providence in that maybe the current situation is supposed to happen.. according to divine providence.. I'm still praying about that.. But am fully willing and able to "cut off the ear" of any threatening the republic (like Peter).. I'm not too smart.. and know it..
O.K. Cool.. Remember we have now the best government money can buy.. The federal government LOOKS like the American people.. It does.. The federal government is not "the perp" and politicians are not the "perpetrators".. Attacking the federal government directly is attacking the symptom not the disease..
The vectors of the disease are Academia and the MsM and MsP and minimally Hollywood.. Threatening the vectors can slow the spread of the disease.. The body politic will then heal itself.. as ALL bodies do.. Doctors heal nothing..
All attempts to heal the federal government will fail.. because of that.. As the people are slimed by the vectors mentioned, the government merely responds.. in kind.. Thats WHY the democrats control the vectors absolutely and the republicans are paper tigers.. ANY attempt to change the federal, state, and local governments will fail specifically because they are a symptom of the disease.. The microbes that cause the disease is/are hidden.. but not to eyes looking for the disease mechanism and not the symptoms..
Suggest a re-think..
But then again, I am personally, to the word cynical, the poster boy (without the smile)..
I disagree. The Federal Reserve Act, the XVIth and XVIIth Amendments came from the top down and then were sold by what you describe as the vectors. The same applies for the evolution of socialism in the United States. Have you ever asked yourself, "Why is participation in Social Security mandatory instead of voluntary?" Would any working man or any ordinary man insist on a government program being mandatory instead of everybody having a choice of whether they wanted to participate or not? The "vectors" spread the disease; they don't cause or create it.
"The vectors of the disease are Academia and the MsM and MsP and minimally Hollywood.. Threatening the vectors can slow the spread of the disease.. The body politic will then heal itself.. as ALL bodies do.. Doctors heal nothing.."
You are practicing medicine without a license. And your thinking is limited to infectious disease. You have not entertained any thoughts about degenerative diseases or malignant dieases. Socialism is the economic equivalent of cancer. And the United States has a terminal case. For most cancers, complete surgical excision offers the best chance for cure.
Save your arguments about the potential of the plan as a whole until you have seen it. For the time being, focus on the ideas within each article, because it becomes an important piece of what is ultimately a jigsaw puzzle or more realistically a machine. Hook a mother board to a hard drive, add a processor, some peripherals, and an operating system and you end up with a revolution that can change the world without firing a shot.
As for Democrats and their vectors, they are going to learn that there is a new sheriff and posse in town. Talk radio and the Internet are replacing their antique vectors with a whole new generation of tools. Their mosquitoes and flys are no match for flyswatter or a sprayer. We could use a guy that knows how to wield a rubber hose.
