Well, that won't get replayed in the MSM anymore!

Nor will we focus on why the Hellllll the governor of LA did not call out her national guard? It's a state guard!

"When asked where the blame should begin for the rescue/relief problems in New Orleans, MSNBC analyst Don Goure made the point that it was the city that directed people to go the Superdome and to the convention center."

Where should they have directed them? - they needed a structure that would survive a class 5 hurricane.

analyst Don Goure made the point that it was the city that directed people to go the Superdome and to the convention center.

And it was also the city that allowed it to turn into a "Lord of the Flies" scenario.

chirs matthews also spent a few hours this afternoon talking about how this should be used against bush becasue he cant warp himself in the flag anymore and all the frustration since 9/11 should be directed at him now. It was basically a democratic strategy session.

Now anyone notice how most of the coverage and chaos is limoted to NO and barely anything is coming out of the others states/areas.
How many times have you heard the liberal mayor of NO curse and sear about Bush, now how many times have you hear from any other mayors.

The Mayor and the Governor will get theirs in time. For the time being the MSM will put the race pimps like Jackson et al on to bang on the President. But as it leaks out, we're going to see that even the Mayor warned people on the 27th that they were facing big trouble. The Mayor's warning here. But as we have seen today with the pictures of the idle school busses, very little was done right at the local and most important level.

I can't understand why there was so much trouble getting help to the Convention Center. Whereas the Superdome was surrounded by floodwater, the Morial is on a dry street right next to the river. On the Mississippi side, the river is just across a walkway lined with excursion boat docks. These excursion boats hold hundreds of people at a time. Why couldn't city authorities have rounded up a bunch of these, and used them to lighter people fro the Convention Center to safe places?

Let me ask all of you who are attacking Ray Nagin so viciously: how does the mayor of one of the poorest mid-sized cities in America forcibly remove nearly half a million people in less than 72 hours?

The logistics of moving and sheltering thousands and thousands of borderline indingent people are staggering. Just look at the unintended consequences caused by the bus trip from New Orleans to Houston--the mayor of Houston went from confidently saying Houston was ready for the evacuees the other evening to now asking Houstonians to open their homes to people b/c there's not enough room for all those who keep coming (and coming)...and this is in a city nearly five times the size of New Orleans, not under the gun of a Cat 4 hurricane and with a nation and federal government ready to foot the bill for it all (as FEMA is doing, right down to the last bus heading west from the Superdome).

I know this is a very emotional event, and we all want what's best for those involved, but, c'mon, think some of this stuff through before you post it here.

No but the same guy was just on my local radio station KMBZ in Kansas City, with host Jerry Agar, and heard by a vast listening audience.

25,000 + people in the Dome for a game or concert is one thing, but! to put that many in there to live is another thing enitrely.
