I have eaten lots of MREs good stuff for the most part. Even better when your hungry.

But then I would have been killing and eating the dogs,cats,rats ect before today.

I heard a Radio Canada story a couple of years ago. They were interviewing the US Army food lab in Natick, MA,
iirc, because of the Afghan HME drops.

The lab was working on PB&J sandwiches that would last packaged for a few years. "Anybody can package the bread,
PB, and jelly separately, but ours is going to be ready-to-eat out of the package..."
