Yah, I know what that is like. When I filed for divorce, and child support, I wanted his full BAQ for the child support, and asked for nothing for alimony. He had the BAQ amount cut almost in half, and as soon as he got out of the navy, I had to fight him tooth and nail for child support.
I finally just appealed to his sleazier side and told him if he signed the kid over to my then-husband, he wouldn't have to pay child support any more. Imagine his surprise when my son joined the army and had a totally different name than the one he was born with. The only name he kept was his middle name.
