In the south it is the only way to enjoy the outdoors in summer, without leaving the house.

wish I had one... thinking about how to fit one onto my house...

Figuring out how I wanted to do it was more work that doing it. Working within the constraints of the existing deck (which I had expanded from the builder's 10X14 to over 450 sq ft), and the height of the roof at the eave, I decided on a straight roof with a 1 to 14 pitch. I have 7 3/4 ft of head room at the eave and 6 1/2 feet at the edge. But this kept me from having to tie into the roof which is L shaped at the rear of the house. Plenty of room and comfy.
