(I thought I'd bring this discussion back over here.) That waving front legs thing is a, uh, ... well, let me explain...

I've been running tours through the lower levels, asking for a small donation, and that the tourists "pretend" to work by following the detailed worklist displayed in the capsule cockpit.

You see, I realized we'd need operators, and the terrestrial units are so big, I just put a little cockpit in there to make room for an operator inside, rather than go through all the electronic channels and immersive artificial reality and everything.

The "waving" is just the tourists being friendly.
