Some schools have already started. It's so unusual.

25 years ago this coming Thursday I turned 25 and started my first day of college. I thought it was a good omen cause I had never gone to school on my birthday.
Nowadays, that wouldn't be true in most school districts. But it was more common in the days before a/c.
My ggggrandfather's kids went to school 2 months a year. Things have certainly changed.

actress.
Princess Diaries, PD2, Ella Enchanted
ok - so they're chick-flicks. sue me.
I liked her in PD1, so I bought Ella Enchanted as part of a 3-for-2 sale (other purchases: Sin City and Team America)
knew she could act, has good comedic delivery, is damn cute.
discovered she can sing quite well.
liked her freestyle commentary on the special features.
on a whim, I googled her up.
Impressive. Seems like a real person.
Don't know her politics.
oh, lordy... that last bit SHOWS I've been a FReeper too long!

I've never seen any of those movies. Probably why I haven't heard of her.

As a girl child, I was always excited about getting new clothes for my birthday. It wasn't until later that I realized that I would have gotten new clothes anyway! But I was still happy about it. I was sandwiched in between two grandmother's birthdays, one week and one day apart...and before I was born, had enough political good sense to not get born on either one's! Missed one by a week, and another by a day.
