Firefox crashed within three days and Thunderbird never worked at all. So I'm back with the ones that work even though I have to run garbage collection programs.

Hmm. I wonder what kind of system you have? My mother downloaded both as I walked her through over the phone. Nothing but raves from a very techno-phobic mom...can't stop praising not having pop-ups.
