The answer as far as the United States is concerned is 1979, 22 years prior to September 2001 ...

I take it back to 1968, when Robert Kennedy was killed by a Palestinian.

The best way to avoid losing this war would have been to not start it in the first place. Our weaknesses have been exposed. What would happen if we really had to face a threat to our borders? What would happen if we had to go war against North Korea or China?

It was hamfisted, but obviously relevant to his thesis, since his point was the Islamic terrorists are perfectly happy killing other Muslims that get in their way, which is obviously true. The point being, power hungry evil people don't really care about identity groups, they use them as weapons and to motivate followers, but are cynically after power and will kill anybody who gets in their way. Putting us and most Iraqis in the same boat etc.

gee, if we lose the war does that mean the rats take over...?

Seriously though, there is not a chance in hell of us losing against a bunch of 6th century chit eaters.

Worst case, it goes on and on, but every day it does we become more proficient at anticipating and countering their tactics.

We will stay steady and hold the line. These types of essays are nothing more than an attempt to shake our will.

Nobody wants to see what happens if the average American citizen believes we have lost to these pigs, except the rats of course.

Sober, but so wrong in spots as to be silly. Primary example that I can and will cite is #2, jealousy. Just silly, no matter how many times Rush repeats it.

I don't even know how to start responding. We did not start this war. The terrorists brought the war to our shores, to our families. Our weakness, if any, is our "disunity" that has happened since the Iraq war. Second, North Korea is no threat to our borders. If a shooting war breaks out, you will see what shock and awe is all about. Fortunately for us, and this is my own opinion and I know I'll get flamed for this, we have two allies against North Korea whom we wouldn't expect: China and Russia.

Generally a good read, though Hitler was a neo-pagan apostate from Christianity, not a Christian.

When I read this, I keep hearing Daleks....

"EXTERMINATE!!! EXTERMINATE!!! EXTERMINATE!!!"

'Doctor Who' fans will appreciate.

And the chances of that happening are a big fat 0.
Don't you know they're the victims? s/o

good post. In every instance where the collective "we" is used in context of what we're doing wrong, simply substitute democrats/leftists.

And, No, I'm not mentioning this obvious fact to blame or point fingers at these 5th columnists, just stating fact. History shows that Nations crumble from within; the Roman Empire falling to the barbarian invasions was the result of decades of rot from within.

What to do? Despite the encouraging signs that leftists in this country - through embracing the bookend-death culture of abortion & euthanasia, living in high-taxed, dhimmi-controlled areas that has them bringing forth less children & at later ages of "career-minded" blue-state Moms & other factors - they are still a danger.

This, primarily through their still-effective (but steadily eroding...) control of academe - where they still imprint millions of already-dumbed-down-by-socialist-education kids with their mind-stapled mantra; and control of media - where in the past general election cycle an MSM exec admitted to media liberal bias accounting for anywhere from 5 million to 20 million votes for the democrats.

Looking above, one can see that Orwell seems prescient; one can also imagine that Gramsci dances in his grave.

An answer... we must not falter, we must not slacken. Though the light can be seen at the end of the tunnel, we cannot grow complacent. There's still work to be done, votes to be consolidated...

Telling signs that we have won and taken back our country: when we wake up one morning and find Republican Senators with stones instead of platitudes walk the halls of power in Wash;
when the MSM starts reporting Conservative gains above the fold on the front-page and comments on this as being a good thing for the country;
when the Conservative shift in academia has moved to the right enough that the Ivy league colleges - the so-called 'best & brightest' of our institutions - again have alumni seeking and returning to military service in numbers similar to the WWII era;
when our borders are secure.

It's not everything I'd like to see, and likely I won't see it in what remains of my time here on earth, even though I'm a young man in my 40's... but it's something to live and work for. The closer we come to achieving our goals, the better-prepared my son will be when the torch is passed into his hands.

I don't see any way we can lose the war.

We won't lose. We were the 18th strongest military in the world when we grew a pair and got into WWII. I concur with the author that if we (UK, Aussies, and US) falter we will lose the few strong allies we have and end up re-fighting WWII. If we stay strong now, the victory will come at a much smaller cost.
