Can Nicole Kidman do a Swedish accent?

Perhaps the DUmmies have confused neville with Lord Haw-Haw, the Michael Moore of his day and certainly a candidate for DUmmie beatification.

Her American accent is pretty darn good.

"Lord Haw-Haw" was William Joyce, with whom perhaps the DUmmies associate Joyce Elders.

I hope they don't change the original film too much in the new movie. Nicole Kidman is supposedly playing the secretary with Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick. Zero Mostel owns the role, though. It's an adaptation of the Broadway version -- I saw Lane & Brodderick on Broadway, and they do great justice to the parts. Kidman had to withdraw for scheduling conflicts, replaced by Uma Thurman. Roger Bart and Gary Beach reprise their roles as Carmen Ghia and Roger de Bris. Will Ferrel plays Franz Liebkind.

Turthfully, I doubt many people will be going to the 'Producers' film remake and following her dialouge.

Uma! Even better...Will Ferrell as the composer, lol!

Can Nicole Kidman do a Swedish accent? I don't know. She did a pretty good Russian in "Birthday Girl."

If Will Ferrel nails Franz Liebkind, he could take over the whole picture.

The Dummies need to copyright Hitler, then he'll be theirs forever.

A classic film, it will be hard to top Harvey Korman in the original. Dick Shawn

Be my guest - I've "borrowed" so many great zingers from FR posts and am happy to return the favor.

Don't let them take the Hitler away from us! Translation: "Don't make us think for ourselves and be rational when trying to find something in our limited liberal brains to compare one thing we hate to another. Don't make us adhere to facts and reality. Don't make us look at the world as it truly is, let us continue on our path of childishness and irrational hatred for our own country."

I bet Nathan Lane and Broderick had to keep from cracking up playing opposite Will Ferrell.

Is Dick Shawn dad to Wallace Shawn? No, no relation, according to IMDB's bio on Wallace..
