Task Force 145 kills al Qaeda military Emir"
"On Friday, Task Force 145 recieved intelligence on a high level target and conducted a raid near the city of Balad. Upon arriving at the scene a firefight took place, leaving wanted al-Qaida terrorist Hasayn Ali Muzabir dead. A former intelligence officer under Saddam Hussein's regime, Mizabir recently operated as an al Qaeda military Emir in the area around Samarra, and was responsible for facilitating Iraqi and foreign terrorists and provided funding for kidnapping, assassinations and bombings against Iraqi citizens and Iraqi and Coalition forces."
"Authorities suspect that Mizabir took over for Hamadi Tahki, the al Qaeda Emir of Samarra who was killed by coalition forces on 28 April 2006. One additional suspect was detained at the scene near Balad."

Kinda adds to the idea that AQ and the IIS would never work together; no collaborative ties (see also thread IP)
Ultimately, it's exactly like the ip of this thread illustrates. Invading Iraq was the right thing to do-removing tyrannical dictators should always be the right thing to do. 60+ yrs ago today, a Democrat had the balls to do that. 'Course, the Kennedy's opposed it then and oppose such actions (as the liberation of Europe) today as well. They are the new face of the Democratic Party. The old face-one of confidence, inspiration, resolve, and willing to take on challenges (be it a depression, a world war, a cold war, or "simply" going to the moon)...well, that Democratic Party is gone. Those liberals are dead and buried-replaced by a political spectrum that knows nothing more than obstruction and opposition; a party against everything (even good things like the invasion of France), and a party for nothing.
