What kind of bill will we receive?
Patients receive two types of billing statements which represent a summary of all charges: Hospital Statements, which reflect facility charges (inpatient rooms, equipment, etc.); and Physicians Statements, which represent the doctors charges. Itemized bills are available upon request.
What happens if I have no medical insurance?
Patients without medical insurance should contact a financial counselor. The counselor will work with the patient and billing departments to set up payment arrangements.
What happens if I cannot pay my medical bills? Will my treatment be stopped?
Your treatment will not be stopped if you are unable to pay the balance. You should contact a financial counselor to discuss payment options for balances left after insurance payment.
Can I get financial assistance to help pay my medical bills?
Patients who meet certain criteria may qualify for State of Maryland Medical Assistance or assistance from the Hospital. The Oncology Centers financial couselors can help you determine if you can obtain financial assistance. Some pharmaceutical companies may also provide assistance.

From what I am gathering, if someone told Andy or the Andyliners (thanks Charles!) they needed the WHOLE $50,000 up front because he has no insurance, then someone was scamming HIM!

The problem is the only proof of a bill they have posted shows both the hospital bill and the doctor bill on it. According to what you posted the hospital makes up a bill and the doctor makes up a separate bill. So either the hospital doesn't follow it's own guidelines or the bill of the 20th is crap.
